Backup Transmitter - Used As A Solution For A Secondary Avalanche

The pieps backup is an emergency transmitter used as a solution for a secondary avalanche. The pieps backup is worn directly on the body and automatically activates only when needed. If the rescuer is in motion, the pieps backup is not transmitting. The pieps backup is not transmitting if there is a transmitting beacon nearby. The pieps backup detects an emergency (no motion and no transmitting beacon nearby) only then will the pieps backup start to transmit (457khz).
